knowrightsEven those without documentation to be in the US have legal rights.

If you are approached by an ICE agent, REMAIN SILENT, or tell the ICE agent that they want to remain silent.

NEVER carry false documents.

Print and carry this information.

Know your “alien registration number” (“A” followed by 8 or 9 digits) or receipt number and keep it with you.  Write it down someplace at home where family members know where to find it.

Prepare a form or document that authorizes another adult to care for their minor children. (Available upon request at consultation.)

Advise family members who do not want to be questioned by ICE to stay away from the place where the raid occurred or where a detained person is being held.
